PedalSnake 2007 New, Different, Enhanced

  • NEW BaseSnakes
  • NEW Pigtails
  • NEW SnakePOWER Supply
  • NEW BaseSnakes! ..Four New BaseSnakes---Now Sold Separately from Pigtails

In the Past our first plug n play BaseSnake (called 4P22), which was the only standard BaseSnake offered, and it:

    • Had to be purchased in kits that contained several Pigtails
    • Was 22 feet in length
    • Had Four (4) 5pin DIN-plug channels, but
      • Each channel was the original "3-wire" plug n play interface for GLine and PLine Pigtails

Now  there are four (4) new PedalSnake BaseSnakes to choose from.

    • Each has a white 5-wire channel, which allows use with full MIDI5, and certain 5-wire DIN footswitches (like those with certain amps from Mesa, Fender, etc.)
    • Available with  4 or 7 channels
    • Available in an 18 or 24 foot length
    • They can be purchased separately from Plug n Play Pigtails, giving buyer's full flexibility in purchasing the perfect PedalSnake System for their rig

NEW Pigtails! ..Four New Pigtail 2-Packs with Cool New Functions

    and

    NEW! . Stereo TRS GLine

    • RS1-TRS now provides two stereo 1/4" plugs (1 right angle and 1 straight).
    • Players with TRS footswitches (or other "stereo plug" applications) now have a simple solution for stereo 1/4" lines.

    New Dual Isolated PLines

Standard Dual PLines are still a valuable commodity (MM2 and MF2, with a shared ground wire).

The new "-I" Isolated PLines effectively give you 2 Single PLines (each with a separate ground wire) from 1 BaseSnake channel (requires the white 5-wire channel).

This allows you to do a couple of things the standard Duals can't do:

    • Share an DC- and an AC-output power supply on the 2 sides of the Dual-I
    • Avoid  Hum (in come rigs).
      • The white 5-wire channel provides each side of a Dual-I PLine with a separate ground wire.
      • So, if the 2 shared power supplies are used to power pedals (or pedal-chains) connected to different ground points in your rig, a ground loop (and hum) can be avoided with a Dual -I.
      • As always, you should careful with any power-chains---for either supply.

    and

    New Hi-Current PLine

    • Use MF1-H for pedals that have power supplies rated at 1600mA or more (like pedals from Damage Control, Vox Tone Lab, etc.)
    • Use MF1-H with the white 5-wire channel on a BaseSnake.

    NEW SnakePOWER Supply

Tidy up your backline wiring even more!

    • SnakePOWER has no cable and plug to deal with.
    • A female power-input jack makes things cleaner and easy.

    What's more, SnakePOWER:

    • Is a true "isolated transformer" supply (=quiet)
    • Delivers more current (500mA) than any other 9VDC power supply in its class
    • Easily powers 20 or more 9V Battery Stomp Boxes!
