- Try our Simple Hum Test using switcher outputs instead of pedals,

- If your device requires a heavier gauge (AWG) speaker line:
- There will be some power loss (PedalSnake channels are 24 AWG)
- If you want to try PedalSnake GLines, Single will be better than Dual.

PedalSnake Will Not
- Carry 120V to pedals that have no power supply and require wall power. PedalSnake must use low-voltage cable, which is not safety rated for 120V, to be thin and flexible.
- Replace DIN lines with 4, 6, or 8 pins (yet). See Channel Types.
- Replace CAT-5 Ethernet lines (yet)
- Replace speaker lines without power loss
- Replace any lines with weird audio/digital connectors not listed above (use 21PR for bastard power connectors)
- Add to your noise problems, or fix them. However, many PedalSnake customers report their rigs being a bit quieter when they begin using PedalSnake. This is probably because PedalSnake: 1) Moves power supplies (and their stray magnetic fields) away from pedal electronics, and, 2) Encourages star grounding. But, in general, noise relates to the quality of your gear, what you connect to what. If your rig is noisy, see Types and Causes of Noise.

Some More Tips
and
Conserve BaseSnake Channels
Look Good and Set Up Fast
- Use SnakePOWER supplies to further clean up wiring around your amp at the backline.
|
- Use Pedaltrain pedalboards for the UltraCool Look in your pedal area.
|
- For fast setup Color-code all backline gear connections and PedalSnake lines to match. Most office supply stores sell multi-color sheets of peel'n'stick strips and dots. Wrap the strips around cables, and stick the dots beside gear connectors.
